Working out for weight loss

How to Work Out Without Working Out

We know that working out is a very important part of dieting, but for many of us, just the thought of it is hard. Not only is working out hard, but it takes time and when you are taking kids to school and working  full time, it seems to be the one thing that you don’t have. Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to work out without having to working out? Wouldn't it be nice If you could just easily fit an entire workout into your day without feeling like you were working out at all?

Face it, everything about dieting is hard. It isn't easy to eat new foods and cut back on your portions, and it definitely isn't easy to change your lifestyle habits overnight. What makes matters worse is that so many people make it seem like you have to spend hours upon hours at the gym if you really want to succeed with your new diet. And while it is true that you do need to work out to feel the full benefits of losing weight, you don't need to kill yourself to do it. In fact, there are many ways that you can work out without working out, all you need to do is be a little creative.

First, you want to think about what it is that you love to do. Pick something that really gets you excited and leaves you wanting more. For instance, let’s say that you love going surfing. You might not feel like you are exercising at all when you are on the water and chasing the waves, but you are. If you are a surfer, every moment you spend on the water you are pushing your muscles in some way, but you don't realize it because you are enjoying the surfing so much.

So maybe you aren't a surfer, maybe you like to dance, sign up for a few dance classes a week and be amazed at how much fun you are having while you are losing weight. The trick to finding a way to work out without working out is to really think about a physical activity that you enjoy and make it work for you.

But it doesn't have to stop there, you can make many small changes to your daily routine to maximize your weight loss. For instance, when you get to work each morning you can park at the end of the parking lot and give yourself a nice walk. You can also forfeit the elevator and take the stairs instead.

Another easy trick is to start doing light grocery shopping. Most of us hate to go grocery shopping, but if you think about it you really get a nice little workout every time you go to the grocery store. Not only are you speed walking through the store so that you can be done quickly, but you are also squatting and lifting as you get each of your items. Now imagine if you went to the store two or three times a week. Sure, you would be getting less items but you would still be running around the store and you would still be lifting and squatting as you were adding items into your cart. For an even better workout you can carry a reusable bag with you when you are shopping so that you are using your muscles more and not relying on your grocery cart.

Losing weight and working out is hard, but it doesn't have to be. Making simple changes to your everyday life is going to enough to give you good results. When you work out without  having to working out, your going to see that you are able to tone your body, increase your energy, and feel much better about yourself with very little effort.
